Thank you for your support!
Here are some tips that will ensure your donation will do the most good.
- Canned, tinned and dried foods with a long use-by date are most valued. Canned meat, tuna, and salmon are particularly appreciated.
- People don’t always have can openers, so cans with pull-tabs are very handy.
- Snacks and lunch items for kids are greatly appreciated.
- Fruits and Vegetables are important in everyone’s diet, but we currently don’t have the facility to store fresh food beyond our pick-up days. If you would like to donate fresh food, or any other food donations, please bring it to the food bank on Thursday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- We have limited space to accept donations of frozen items.
- Other basic products such as cereal, coffee and tea are also needed.
- We are only able to distribute individual portions. Bulk items are not allowed to be broken down and distributed unless each item is labelled with ingredients, nutritional information, and cooking/baking instructions.
- Good quality boxes and reusable bags come in very handy
PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT FOOD ITEMS THAT ARE PAST THEIR EXPIRY DATE
